My brother is doing a study to see the effects of Toremifene on healthy young males semen. Its supposed to prevent prostate cancer. It has already been approved by the FDA for use in women to treat breast cancer now they just want to see the effects on mens semen. I was a little skeptical about this but it doesn’t seem all that bad since it is already out to the public. He takes 20 mg once a day. Are there any bad side effects that could happen from him taking this?

Is it bad not to release after being sexually aroused with a partner for a long time? (20+ minutes)…..

I’ve heard that it isn’t bad but if it happens too often over a long period of time then you will increase your chances of prostate or testicular cancer in the long run. Is the cancer claim just bs or does it hold validity? Also, are there any other negative side effects if any?

Does brachytherapy for prostate cancer have the same side effects as beam radiation therapy? Like nausea and fatigue?

My father is 65 and has metastatic prostate cancer. He’s taking calutide and zoladex monthly. Due to obstruction in urination for long time, we got his channel TURP surgery done last month. The urine flow was good for about 20 days. After that he felt slight decrease in urine flow. One morning suddenly there was full urine obstruction and we rushed him to hospital and got catheter inserted.
Doctor said that his prostate tissues have obstructed the urine channel in just one month which is rather unusual.

My question is:
- Can cancer tissues grow so fast in just 1 month after channel TURP? Every doctor mentioned it’s a relief for atleast few years.
- Catheter went inside with lot of difficulty and is not a permanent relief. Should we go for direct insertion of tube in urine bladder?

His gleason grade is 9. PSA is under 4 but showed slight increase from 1.96 to 2.4 approx.

How can one ease these sweats,they are very heavy.

Does anyone know the negative side effects of a vasectomy? I have heard that there connections to Prostate Cancer and also links to eventual dementia.
